Lexie Van Haren has over 20 years of experience in aviation, public relations, government affairs, leadership development, marketing, and tourism.
As the Air Service Development & Marketing Administrator for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, she manages a portfolio of destinations and airlines to provide the most connected and economical air service for all Arizonans. Phoenix Sky Harbor currently has nonstop service to 144 destinations including 23 international markets, the most on record. The airport has a USD 38 billion yearly statewide economic impact with over $3billion of that from international flights.
Ms. Van Haren serves as the Vice Chair of the International Air Service Steering Committee for Airports Council International. She also serves on the International Leadership Committee for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council guiding key initiatives and global strategies. As Chair of Project Lift with the Canadian Arizona Business Council, she is spearheading efforts to align Canadian air service with business growth and opportunity. As Public Relations Chair for Global Ties Arizona, she is working to enhance the visibility of Arizona’s largest citizen diplomacy organization that promotes international engagement one handshake at a time. In her role as Vice Chair of the Tempe Tourism Office, she works to tout the tourism offerings of the airport’s neighboring city.
She recently completed her Executive Master’s of Global Management through Thunderbird School of Global Management which was ranked the number one management degree in the world by the Wall Street Journal. During her studies, she traveled to Washington D.C. and the Middle East for graduate courses in international business and communications as well as government affairs. She has also earned Certified Member standing with the American Association of Airports Executives, a prestigious designation that signifies that one has a diverse knowledge of the primary functions of how an airport operates and thrives. Her undergraduate degree is in International Business & Marketing.
