Brian brings 30 years of executive level Community and Economic Development expertise to the City of Phoenix where he serves as the Chairman of the Canada Arizona Business Council’s Capital Markets and Private Equity Committee. Mr. Friedman has an extensive and broad network to draw upon given decades of successful projects completed which are now being utilized to drive capital investment and jobs to the City of Phoenix. Brian focuses on growing the city’s international base and foreign direct Investment from Europe and Canada and is fluent in French and Spanish. As a former Director of Planning, Building Safety, Mega Events and Development Services his back of house strength with project management and construction combined with front of house economic development skillsets allowed for tens of billions of dollars in investment in Arizona in the last decade alone. Hotel and Resort developments as well as special projects are additional core areas of charge.
